Franck

César Franck's work has a kind of magical aesthetic I don't often find in music- except maybe in Fauré's. There's a mystery and yearning and passion which is truly extraordinary. My personal favourites:

-Piano Quintet in F minor: no better summary of Franck, really. All of the above.

-Violin Sonata in A major
